Barnes & Noble is eager to ensure its [Nook HD](http://www.engadget.com/2012/09/26/barnes-and-nobles-nook-hd-7-inch-android-tablet-hands-on-video/) tablets are passed safe for consumption by humans. That's why one of the slates has just been ushered out of the [FCC's](http://www.engadget.com/tag/fcc/) underground bunker after being torn into tiny pieces.
