Vantec launches NexStar WiFi hard drive dock along with iOS, Android apps

If you want to keep that [cloud](http://www.engadget.com/tag/cloud%20storage/) thing a little closer to home, Vantec has just released the NexStar hard drive dock that lets you bump the storage of all your domestic devices via WiFi. You can insert any SATA 2.5 or 3.5-inch hard drive into the toaster-like dock, then connect an Android or iOS device via dedicated apps, along with any Mac or PC using the SMB protocol. The dock also supports [Airplay](http://www.engadget.com/2012/12/04/youtube-app-ios-update-airplay-streaming-iphone-5/), has a USB 3.0 port for a direct computer connection and works with [UPnP](http://www.engadget.com/tag/UPnP/), allowing media players on your network to browse files as well. Pricing has yet to be announced, but Vantec promises you'll be able to snag one this month. Further freshly-grilled details in the PR after the break.
