It's been a year and change since [BlueStacks](http://www.engadget.com/tag/BlueStacks/) announced a [Windows 8 version](http://www.engadget.com/2012/01/10/bluestacks-windows-8-android-software/) of its [App Player](http://www.engadget.com/2011/10/11/bluestacks-app-player-lets-you-run-android-apps-on-windows-pcs-o/), which let you run most of your Android apps on the [then-beta OS](http://www.engadget.com/2011/12/06/microsoft-demos-new-windows-phone-marketplace-now-with-more-met/). Now the company has announced the official version, tweaked to play nicely with Redmond's own [Surface Pro](http://www.engadget.com/2013/02/09/psa-microsoft-surface-pro-available-in-us-canada/) and sporting a fresh, custom-built [charm](http://www.engadget.com/2012/03/29/microsoft-reveals-how-your-old-slate-will-get-all-of-windows-8s/) menu and start screen tile. You'll now be able to run apps in "true" touch-enabled full-screen mode using your Win 8 tablet's tilt/motion sensors, and everything will work faster, too. CEO Rosen Sharma also touted the release as a way for developers to bypass Microsoft's "onerous" submission process to get Android apps onto the x86 Surface Pro, and you can't argue with the price -- it's free, and available for download now.
